- Make sure to dress accordingly with the most current weather report.
- Consider bringing standard and telephoto zoom lenses. Higher focal length lenses are encouraged.
- Rubber lens hoods and circular polarizing filters can help reduce glare and are recommended to bring.
- You will NOT need a tripod on this walk- travel light, photograph easy!
- Feel free to bring snacks and water.
- Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.
- As always, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
As always, if you are sick or feeling unwell, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future walk.
Refund Policy – Classes / Walks / Workshops
For classes, walks, & workshops, cancellations and postponement can be made up to 48-hours prior to the scheduled time. Refunds cannot be granted for cancellations placed less than 72-hours/3-days before a class or walk, but you can receive a 75% credit toward a future class, walk, or workshop.
For all cancellations, you must contact classes@huntsphoto.com prior to the event. If you register for a class and do not show up, your payment will be forfeited.

At Hunt’s Photo Education, we treat each other with respect and dignity. This means that all students and employees are entitled to participate in an environment that is free of harassment, bullying and discrimination.
Harassment, bullying and discrimination take many forms, including:
- Unwelcome remarks, gestures or physical contact
- The display or circulation of offensive, derogatory or sexually explicit pictures or other materials, including by email and on the Internet
- Offensive or derogatory jokes or comments (explicit or by innuendo)
- Verbal or physical abuse or threats
We are committed to a safe workspace for both our employees and students. As such, we reserve the right to remove a student if the above policies are violated.
Recording Content Policies
All instruction and information taught at Hunt’s Photo Education is the property of Hunt’s Photo and/or the instructor(s) involved. Class material, including handouts, PDFs, online and video content, cannot be shared in a public environment, including with camera clubs, or posted online to streaming services, such as YouTube, without express written consent. We also ask that our classes are not audio or video recorded without consent, including but not limited to the use of smart glasses, body cameras, smart phones, computers, tablets, or smart watches. If consent is given, this information cannot be posted online or distributed without express written consent.
Franklin Park Zoo has over 100 different types of animals for a wide variety of shooting opportunities. Whether you have a safari trip planned and need practice or you just love animals, this walk will be diverse in subject matter and a whole lot of fun! Photographers of all skill levels are welcome!
The Franklin Park Zoo has many indoor and outdoor exhibits which present a variety of photo challenges. Learn wildlife photography in a controlled setting – no waiting hours in the hopes an animal will come along! We?ll discuss composition, action photography, and how to get tack sharp images even when your subject is on the move. We?ll work on the best settings to maximize the gear you have to make sure you?re getting your very best images.
*Please note: This ticket DOES NOT include the entrance cost to the park. MAKE SURE to purchase your ticket in advance at zoonewengland.org. You will want to sign up for the 9am time slot.
