Please note: We have slightly altered the scope of this workshop to include BOTH Infrared and Long Exposure Photography. If you are interested in either topic, this workshop will be suitable for you! For more info on the Long Exposure element of the workshop, click here.
Infrared (IR) photography is a technique that allows us to discover the world we live in under a different light, literally. It modifies tonalities and contrasts in an image. It captures unique looking images where foliage and other forms of vegetation turn white.
Infrared is a different approach, one that steps away from depicting reality and allows the photographer to create their own world.
This workshop along the Charles River is appropriate whether you own an IR converted camera or an IR filter.
The goal of this workshop is to demystify infrared photography and to teach you how to create unique-looking and striking images.
If you own neutral density filters, it is recommended for you to bring them as we might even mix both IR and long exposure techniques into one!
