Learning about photography can be a real challenge. There are so many pieces to the puzzle of photography, some of which use confusing terminology. And while we also offer other wonderful Beginner Photography classes to get you started, nothing is truly the same as hands-on in-the-field! It?s important to fully understand the ?why? and ?how? of your camera settings.
In this workshop, come learn the basics of portraits! Aperture! Shutter speed! Focus! Exposure! Composition! We will spend the morning discussing and then working on portraits. What are the basic settings that we need to be aware of? How do we frame our shot for effectiveness? What are some of the basics of seeing or working with light, light modifiers, and reflectors?
Please note that for this workshop, we will take turns photographing each other for our portraits. The best way to learn about how to pose and direct your subject is to be a subject yourself!
Join us for this fun introduction to portrait photography!
