Class Summary
May 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
In this macro program, Emilie Talpin, OM SYSTEM Ambassador, explores how composition changes when your subject is no bigger than a fingernail. Emilie will demonstrate how you can transform simple close-ups into compelling visual stories and how to create intentional spatial flow in tiny environments. She’ll break down color harmony and background control so your images feel clean, powerful, and deliberate. Whether you’re new to macro or already experienced, this talk will reshape the way you see and compose the miniature world.
About Emilie
Emilie Talpin is an OM SYSTEM ambassador who grew up in Chalon sur Saône, France, the birthplace of Nicéphore Niépce and the first photograph. Despite this background, she got into photography late and, in 2018, joined a local camera club where she met a group of talented photographers and was inspired to dive deeper into the art of capturing moments in time. She attributes part of her success as a photographer to switching from heavy and cumbersome gear to a camera system that is lighter and more versatile. She bought the OMD Em1 Mark II, a wildlife and a macro lens, and has never looked back. She is particularly interested in macro photography, especially in the art of capturing water drop refraction.
