About David:
David Lawlor is an artist who finds inspiration in the hidden stories of abandoned spaces. As a documentary photographer based in Providence, Rhode Island, his passion for urban exploring began in his youth and has evolved into a fulfilling career. With a deep fascination for the Blackstone Valley’s abandoned mills, David utilizes a variety of artistic mediums to capture their essence.
Through drone photography, traditional photography, and filmmaking techniques, David brings these forgotten places to life. His work thrives on the exploration of long exposure methods, allowing him to encapsulate the historic and haunting beauty of these abandoned spaces. With a keen eye for detail and a creative spirit, David’s artistry unveils the hidden narratives and emotions that linger within these forgotten architectural masterpieces.
By documenting the Blackstone Valley’s abandoned mills, David aims to preserve their legacy and provoke contemplation about our relationship with the past. His art serves as a visual reminder of the vibrant history that once thrived within these now silent walls.
