Educators Paul Nelson and Henry Marte lead this fun and challenging workshop that delves into dragging the shutter, motion, and other creative lighting effects for portraits! Dragging the Shutter is a technique used where we keep the shutter of the camera open for longer in order to create a sense of movement. It is achieved using a combination of lighting tools and can create a myriad of effects where every photo is a unique creation! We will also work on other fun creative lighting techniques and tools, including projection mounts, fresnels, gobos, and adding artificial smoke to create depth.
You do not need to have any prior knowledge of how to achieve these effects.

We will specifically be using Nanlite and Aputure LED lights and Westcott strobes, but the concepts can apply to any lights you own.

This will be a fun day of portraits and not to be missed!
