Class Summary
February 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product.
This Month’s Printed Vision Session: Comparing Papers!
What does it look like on Matte Paper? What does it look like on Glossy Paper? Why would I print it on one versus the other? What does the paper bring to my image?
Leading up to the date of the session, you’ll receive a pre-recorded video that discusses, among other things some of the key differences between paper surfaces and present a variety of options for you to have your image printed. Then, we will literally print the image two times so we can see the difference, getting to the root of the answers.
In the end, you will receive TWO prints of your edited image up to 8.5×11″ in size. (Please note: We are happy to make a larger print outside of the class for an additional fee! However, we will review these in class to see how they look before making them larger!)
Join us for an informative Printed Vision class!
A Note About The Printed Vision Series
Our Print Review Monthly is a chance to continue the print conversation over the course of many months. For this class, you can either choose a single session OR sign up for three months at a discounted rate. You do not need to attend 3 consecutive sessions and may attend whenever it’s convenient. Choosing this option is excellent to keep the printing conversation going! However, please note that the sessions expire after one year. These sessions are excellent for anyone:
• Someone that wants a little help with editing before they get a print
• Someone that does print but has print-related questions
• A person that prints often and wants to try a different paper
• Someone with no knowledge of printing that just wants to get a print!
Come check out why printing is the best thing to do for your photography!
In-Person or Online
This class will be taking place in-person in our Melrose store location and online, in case you cannot attend live. If you cannot attend live, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations.
