Join Hunt’s Photo Adventures for another trip to the ?Land of Fire and Ice?! In this photo workshop, we will travel across the Icelandic Highlands and discover all of the best that this isolated area has to offer. This is a comprehensive workshop focusing on all areas of the Highlands plus the M?vatn area in the north of Iceland. Our main focus is to access locations that are closed for most of the year and photograph the dynamic Highland landscapes.
The Highlands of Iceland are vast, combining glaciers, moraines, red ? yellow and black deserts, geothermal areas & hot springs, lava, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. In this Highlands & North Iceland Photo Workshop, you will have the rare opportunity to photograph and visit areas which offer all of the landscapes so unique to Iceland. It is quite simply a photographer?s dream.
The Highlands are usually referred to as the central area of Iceland, located 400 meters above sea level, covering approximately 76% of the land?s surface area. It is often referred to by Icelanders as ?bygg?ir ? or uninhabited country. Roads accessing this area often open in late June, and typically close in the beginning of October, if the autumn is mild. This short window of time gives enthusiastic photographers only a few months a year to travel and enjoy the many breathtaking locations this area offers.

About our instructors
Robert Fletcher?began his full-time photography career in 1970. Following in the footsteps of Ansel Adams, he mostly photographed people (children, portraits, weddings, seniors, etc.), which paid the bills. Over time, he became interested in photographing wildlife and landscapes, mostly for personal pleasure. In 1999, he was asked to become a ?Stringer? for Canon USA and has been in that position since then. It has led Robert towards teaching, leading workshops and sharing his life-long passion with others. He always looks forward to sharing his knowledge of photography with those who are anxious to learn.
Jeff Swinger?boasts nearly 30 years of professional experience built upon his passion for telling stories through images. He honed his skills over 16 years with The Cincinnati Enquirer covering news and sports and has covered four Olympic Games for USA Today Sports. Additionally, Jeff works as an educational contributor and freelance Pro Market Representative for Canon USA and travels domestically and internationally conducting photo tours and workshops. Jeff lives with his family in Park City, Utah.
