Sometimes one light changes everything—sometimes more power changes everything.

Join Westcott’s JC Carey for an advanced hands-on location lighting workshop built around the incredible power and versatility of the Westcott FJ800. Designed for photographers who want to push beyond the limits of traditional portable flash, this class focuses on creating dramatic outdoor images in full sun, overpowering harsh ambient light, and building bold, cinematic portraits with confidence.

Using JC’s proven From Fear to Flash teaching method, this workshop keeps lighting practical, approachable, and rooted in real-world shooting. The goal isn’t just learning how to use more power—it’s learning when and why to use it. Whether you’re freezing action, shaping sunlight, creating high-impact fashion portraits, or turning difficult midday light into an advantage, the Westcott FJ800 gives you the freedom to create without compromise.

This is a fully hands-on experience built for photographers ready to level up their off-camera lighting skills. Expect live shooting, creative experimentation, problem solving, and a fun environment where pushing boundaries is encouraged.

Bring your camera, your curiosity, and your desire to create something dramatic.

Westcott will provide the Westcott FJ800, triggers, and modifiers—you just need to show up ready to make powerful images.
