Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk in one of Boston?s treasures: the Museum of Fine Arts. Boasting dozens of current exhibits and over 450,000 pieces of art the MFA is one of the largest museums in the country and in the world. The building itself is full of beautiful architecture and detail.
Currently on display at the MFA is a collection of photographic images from Life Magazine. We will incorporate this exhibition into our walk.
Please note: This ticket DOES cover the cost of your entrance into the museum.
Also… Because tripods and monopods are not allowed, we will maximize quality in low-light situations. We will discuss how to do this and how to photograph the spaces and artwork within the museum. Please note: Rules and regulations pertaining to photography IN the MFA must be followed at all times. Consider bringing a prime lens!
Regarding Personal Photography at the MFA Boston:
Still photography and video taken from a handheld device of objects in the permanent collection are permitted for personal, nondistributional, noncommercial use. Tripods and monopods are strictly not allowed. Please refrain from photography of loans and temporary exhibitions. Flashes, selfie-sticks, or video cameras in the galleries are prohibited. No photographs or videotapes may be reproduced, published, distributed, sold, transferred, or otherwise commercially exploited without written permission from the MFA.
