What to Bring:

• Make sure to bring a working film camera with lens
• Please make sure you have a working battery in the camera.
• If you’re at all unsure if your camera works, please email us at classes@huntsphoto.com.
• Feel free to bring any lenses you own
• You can also bring any rolls of film that you may have questions about, but it is not necessary

Refund / Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy – Classes / Walks / Workshops

For classes, walks, & workshops, cancellations and postponement can be made up to 48-hours prior to the scheduled time. Refunds cannot be granted for cancellations placed less than 72-hours/3-days before a class or walk, but you can receive a 75% credit toward a future class, walk, or workshop.

For all cancellations, you must contact classes@huntsphoto.com prior to the event. If you register for a class and do not show up, your payment will be forfeited.

Recording Content Policies

All instruction and information taught at Hunt’s Photo Education is the property of Hunt’s Photo and/or the instructor(s) involved. Class material, including handouts, PDFs, online and video content, cannot be shared in a public environment, including with camera clubs, or posted online to streaming services, such as YouTube, without express written consent. We also ask that our classes are not audio or video recorded without consent, including but not limited to the use of smart glasses, body cameras, smart phones, computers, tablets, or smart watches. If consent is given, this information cannot be posted online or distributed without express written consent.

Film Photography is making a comeback! Come learn what makes film so unique and beautiful and learn how to best use your film camera with instructor Mike Pacheco!
This is the essential class for anyone looking to either get into film photography or relearn the basics that they once knew. Discussion points in the class will include:

  • The basic settings on film cameras, including exposure, aperture and shutter speed
  • Properly loading, unloading, and storing film
  • Current films (“film stocks”) and what unique characteristics they hold
  • What to look for and how to achieve amazing results!
  • Hands-on shooting demos!

Attendees should all have a working film camera, along with a working battery. (Hunt’s Photo sells most film camera batteries.) If you are unsure whether your camera is fully functional, we strongly recommend you contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com and schedule a time that we can check it out!
