About The Printed Vision Series
The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product.

Each Printed Vision topic will meet for two sessions. In the first session, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure, dynamic range and color, but also deeper points, such as noise reduction, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. We will print one of the two images leading into the second session and discuss some of the challenges we face in printing them.
You do not need to produce a new image for this class and can go into your archives to print, but you are welcome to go out into the field and create something new based on the topic!

This Month’s Printed Vision Session: Printing on Rice Paper!

Rice paper is a style of paper that is delicate, unique, and tells a story! This is a fabulous style of paper that is underutilized in the printing world but can ultimately produce stellar and very different images!
In this class, we will discuss the advantages (and disadvantages) to printing on rice paper in our instructional online presentation, held on the first date, then workshop your images in order to make a print on rice paper. We will reconvene the following week for our Printed Image Review. You will have that time period in between to edit and submit your images. In the end, you will receive a print on Rice Paper of your edited image up to 8.5 x 11 in size.

Join us for this unique Printed Vision class!

Receiving Your Print
After the class, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations.

Registering and what is needed
After you register for this class, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 24 hours prior to the class time with that same information.

You Are Being Recorded (And Other Note Related Items)
