Print Review- Wednesday February 11th, 6:30pm ET • Hunt’s Melrose or Online!

The printed image shows our successes and our faults at a much higher level of detail than the digital image. To become better photographers, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product.

This Month’s Printed Vision Session: Comparing Papers!

What does it look like on Matte Paper? What does it look like on Glossy Paper? Why would I print it on one versus the other? What does the paper bring to my image?
This Printed Vision topic will meet for two sessions. In the first session, we will discuss the topic– some of the key differences between paper surfaces– and present a variety of options for you to have your image printed. In between sessions 1 and 2, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. Educator Paul Nelson will produce a recorded image review, discussing paper options, editing suggestions, and more, to be sent back to you leading up to the second session. Paul will then print images for the class. In the end, you will receive TWO prints of your edited image up to 8.5×11″ in size. It is generally recommended to print the same image on two papers. (Please note: We are happy to make a larger or additional print outside of the class for an additional fee!)

Join us for an informative Printed Vision class!

A Note About The Printed Vision Series

Our Print Review Monthly is a chance to continue the print conversation over the course of many months. These sessions are excellent for anyone:

• Someone that wants a little help with editing before they get a print

• Someone that does print but has print-related questions

• A person that prints often and wants to try a different paper

• Someone with no knowledge of printing that just wants to get a print!

Come check out why printing is the best thing to do for your photography!

In-Person or Online

This class will be taking place in-person in our Melrose store location and online, in case you cannot attend live. If you cannot attend live, your print can either be mailed to you or picked up at one of our Hunt’s Photo store locations.
