Custom 1-on-1 Rates:
- $99.99 for a single hour
- $170 for two hours (in one session)
Please note that as of March 22nd, our rates will be increasing to the prices listed. This is for numerous reasons. While we want to offer the best price possible, we also want to make sure that we have the best instructors giving the best instruction. We pride ourselves on the quality of our education and hope you understand this change!

Lawrence Ferreira
Hunt’s Photo Educator, Providence
Lawrence is a filmmaker & self-taught photographer from Providence, RI. A graduate of Rhode Island College with a B.A. in Film Studies, Law specializes in narrative film production and non-linear editing (primarily Premiere Pro). He has been active in the local film community since 2009. On the photo-side, Law enjoys photographing the natural world with either a super-telephoto or macro lens.

Emily Hojnowski
Hunt’s Photo Leader & Lead Educator, Melrose and Manchester…and Beyond
If you are looking for inspiration for your photography, look no further than Emily, who brings a world of enthusiasm to every class and workshop in which she teaches! Emily is a self-taught photographer, and has specific love for film photography. Emily can teach anything photographically, but she also has a knack for handling dogs in her spare time, and can combine those two passions in a lesson, if so requested!

Walter Jennings
Hunt’s Photo Educator, Holyoke
Walter has over 30 years of photographic experience. He has been teaching and educating photography enthusiasts for the last 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking in the mountains and hanging out at the beach, where you will always see a camera in his hands. He uses a variety of cameras from film to mirrorless on his photographic excursions. He teaches with great enthusiasm and his reward is seeing the photographic growth of his students.

Rebecca Lajoie
Hunt’s Photo Educator, Melrose
Rebecca is a Boston-based wedding and lifestyle photographer. She studied photography and art history at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University, where she earned her BFA.

Ray Levesque
Hunt’s Photo Educator, South Portland
Ray has been teaching photography for over 15 years and was instrumental in starting the Hunt’s education program. His favorite classes to teach are Lightroom editing and printing. When not teaching, he can be found with a camera on the streets of Portland.
Ray teaches Beginner Photography and Custom 1-on-1 Sessions in South Portland, and a variety of Virtual classes, including Adobe Lightroom classes. You can find Ray’s class schedule here.
Paul Nelson
Hunt’s Photo Director of Education & Educator, Melrose… and Beyond
Paul received his BFA Photography from SUNY New Paltz in 2005 and Masters in Secondary Education (History concentration) from UMass Boston in 2012. He has led the Education Department since 2014. He specializes in flash, lighting, portraiture, editing (Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One) and printing. Outside of work, Paul enjoys using 4×5 film, loves baking, cooking, and gardening, and has photographed his three kids every single day of their lives.

Michael Pacheco
Hunt’s Photo Educator, Waltham
Michael has over a decade of experience in portrait and film photography. He studied photography at Montclair State University in NJ and has not put down his camera yet! He has a deep understanding of studio lighting, pre and postproduction processes, and family photography.

Brandon Pelletier
Hunt’s Photo Educator, Melrose
Brandon Pelletier is a talented videographer and photographer who has worked locally and internationally on multiple feature films and commercial projects. His skills in camera operation, intricate lighting, audio recording and advanced editing, combined with his contagious sense of humor, guarantees a highly enriching and enjoyable experience.
Brandon is a Video Specialist and can teach anything from video basics to gimbal operation, lighting to editing, but is also well-versed in photography, Lightroom, and Photoshop, and can easily teach all of the above. Don Toothaker
Director of Hunt’s Photo Adventures, Photo Walk Leader, Melrose…and Beyond
Primarily self taught, Don enjoys photographing a wide variety of subjects, and instructing, throughout New England and beyond. He approaches photography as a powerful form of personal expression and works hard to inspire others to do the same.

Robert Fletcher
Hunt’s Photo Adventures, Adventure Co-Leader
Robert Fletcher began his full-time photography career in 1970. Following in the footsteps of Ansel Adams, he mostly photographed people (children, portraits, weddings, seniors, etc.), which paid the bills. Over time, he became interested in photographing wildlife and landscapes, mostly for personal pleasure. In 1999, he was asked to become a “Stringer” for Canon USA and has been in that position since then. It has led Robert towards teaching, leading workshops and sharing his life-long passion with others. He always looks forward to sharing his knowledge of photography with those who are anxious to learn.

Jeff Swinger
Hunt’s Photo Adventures, Adventure Co-Leader
Jeff Swinger boasts nearly 30 years of professional experience built upon his passion for telling stories through images. He honed his skills over 16 years with The Cincinnati Enquirer covering news and sports and has covered four Olympic Games for USA Today Sports. Additionally, Jeff works as an educational contributor and freelance Pro Market Representative for Canon USA and travels domestically and internationally conducting photo tours and workshops. Jeff lives with his family in Park City, Utah.
